Prior to founding Carota, Paul founded Gmobi, whose subsidiary Go2Play was acquired by Hangzhou Liaison Interactive Information Technology Co. (HLIIT), a Chinese publicly listed company, in 2015. He later served as Independent Director and Compensation Committee Chair at Newegg (Nasdaq: NEGG), a US-based e-commerce retailer majority-owned by HLIIT, through its successful Nasdaq listing in 2021.

Paul also co-founded MOX, the accelerator focused on early-stage investments across AI, smart mobility, and internet-related ventures.
